# Liverpool target Sancho convinced he will move to the Premier League

Jadon Sancho is convinced he will be playing in the Premier League next season, acting as a boost to Liverpool.

The 20-year-old has been continually [linked](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2019/12/28/liverpools-interest-in-jadon-sancho-confirmed/) with the Reds in recent months, as well as [Manchester United](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/03/02/man-united-move-ahead-of-liverpool-in-race-to-sign-sancho/) and [Chelsea](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2019/12/08/chelsea-set-to-bid-100m-for-jadon-sancho/).

It looks increasingly likely that Sancho will leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer, in order to enjoy a fresh challenge.

This is an undeniable positive for Liverpool, ahead of what could be a fierce battle for Sancho’s signature. He has [17 goals and assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/346300/Show/Jadon-Sancho) apiece to his name this season, outlining his pedigree.

With potential [doubts](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/03/23/liverpools-hopes-of-signing-timo-werner-hit-with-potential-hammer-blow/) surrounding the Reds’ move for Timo Werner, due to the current virus affecting the world, it could be that the club turn their attention to Sancho.

I would be surprised if both ended up moving to Anfield, with Sancho’s price tag appearing to be the biggest stumbling block behind a possible Merseyside move.

I could see a scenario where United are the only club willing to spend a [rumoured €140 million](https://en.as.com/en/2020/03/04/football/1583349210_682439.html) on the England international, getting their man in the process.

That is a huge amount of money – a figure that would come close to doubling Liverpool’s [transfer record](https://www.lfchistory.net/Transfers/Top15Bought) set by Virgil van Dijk – and it could be that Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards can’t justify it.

I still see Werner as the most likely summer arrival, due to him being [cheaper](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/02/26/liverpool-offer-timo-werner-five-year-e8m-per-season-contract/), but this update is certainly no bad thing.
