After Leipzig suffered defeat to Bayern on Wednesday, the striker suggested that he could join the German giants.

> I’ve had a nice two and a half years at Leipzig, so they are in the picture \[for next season\].

> There are other clubs in the picture. If you play in Germany and want to stay in Germany, there is only one club in question.

The report from [Abendzeitung](https://www.abendzeitung-muenchen.de/inhalt.stuermer-von-rb-leipzig-bayern-transferziel-timo-werner-konkurrenz-aus-der-premier-league.a8d26ecb-d379-47f7-b4cd-2111701f107b.html) suggests that Liverpool are considering a move for Werner, after sending scouts to watch the striker.

Werner will only have one year left on his contract after this season, and Leipzig could cash in on the German, who has netted 13 goals in 19 appearances.
