# Liverpool’s greatest Republic of Ireland international

With it being St Patrick’s Day, we thought we’d look back at some of the best players who have represented both Liverpool and the Republic of Ireland and try to figure out who is the best Irishman to play for the Reds.

So, we’ve decided to put it to a vote.

Have your say below with our new feature, Duel, which pits player up against player until a victor emerges.

Simply vote for which of the two players you think was the better and we’ll go ‘winner stays on’ style until we get an eventual winner!

We’ve included 13 players who have played for Liverpool since 1970 and who have been capped by Ireland

The dates in brackets represent the time they spent at Anfield as a player.
