# Man United expected to sign Erling Haaland in January

Erling Haaland’s reputation is growing all the time, following a superb start to the season for Salzburg.

The 19-year-old has already scored 21 times in 2019/20, with those goals coming in just 14 appearances.

Liverpool have been loosely linked with signing Haaland, who scored in the Reds’ 4-3 win at home to Salzburg in the Champions League earlier this month.

It appears as though Manchester United are strong favourites to snap him up instead, though.

The Serie A have pulled out of the race to sign him, freeing up United to seal a deal.

No Liverpool supporter should ever want to see United sign a top young talent and Haaland is exactly that.

The Norwegian’s potential is huge, as shown by a devastating opening few months of the campaign.

Given the current gulf in class between Liverpool and United, however, you have to feel that if the Reds want Haaland, they could get him.

It may simply be that they aren’t interested in the teenager.
