# Man United fans can’t believe Beckham wasn’t included in Liverpool combined XI

Liverpool fans don’t find it easy to praise anything to do with Manchester United, given the [rivalry](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1480688-manchester-united-vs-liverpool-the-most-bitter-rivalry) between the two clubs.

There is no denying that Alex Ferguson built formidable sides during the 1990s and 2000s, however, achieving great success in the process.

Perhaps United’s most famous team was the [treble-winning](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1998%E2%80%9399_Manchester_United_F.C._season) outfit in 1998/99, when they clinched Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup glory.

Liverpool were a shadow of their current selves at that point, but Jurgen Klopp has turned them into the best [club side in world football](https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/news/025a-0e9f8fe852b8-ff94b0553a0e-1000--club-world-cup-firmino-wins-final-for-liverpool/?referrer=%2fuefachampionsleague%2fnews%2fnewsid%3d2636636), while United have struggled since Ferguson’s exit in 2013.

This current Reds side is now being [spoken](https://www.liverpool.com/liverpool-fc-news/features/liverpool-best-ever-team-history-17565183) of as one of the best-ever English teams, with a first league title since 1990 on the horizon.

[Sky Sports](https://twitter.com/SkySportsPL/status/1227200640071471105?s=20) have been asking supporters to pick their best possible combined XI made up of players from Liverpool’s class of 2020 and United’s treble-winners.

These United supporters have been left shocked by David Beckham’s exclusion from the team, saying it is unacceptable that he wasn’t picked in the side that [Sky Sports](https://twitter.com/SkySportsPL/status/1227200640071471105?s=20) opted for.

> The fact Beckham isn’t in this team is a joke.
