# Manchester United join Liverpool in Chiesa transfer chase

Manchester United have joined the race to sign Liverpool transfer target Federico Chiesa.

[According to The Mirror,](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-united-join-chelsea-juventus-13523304) United have been impressed by Chiesa this season and are now considering an approach for the winger.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for Chiesa since the summer, along with Premier League rivals Chelsea and Italian giants Juventus.

The report claims that Juventus are the favourites to land him at this moment in time, with Chiesa, perhaps, preferring to remain in Italy.

Chiesa has two goals and one assist for Fiorentina in the Serie A this season and has caught the eye of a number of teams, Liverpool being one of them.

The Italian international has also shone whilst playing for his country, despite not qualifying for the World Cup last summer.

Liverpool will now have to beat Jose Mourinho’s United and Juventus to his signature if they want to land the talented 21-year-old in January.
