# Matt Le Tissier hails “unbelievable” Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk

Virgil van Dijk has earned huge praise from Matt Le Tissier, with the Southampton legend claiming he “looks like a man playing in boy’s football.”

Le Tissier was able to watch the Dutchman regularly at former club Saints, before his £75million move to Liverpool back in January.

He has been a colossus ever since his switch to Anfield and is arguably the key to the Reds topping the Premier League table currently.

> He is an unbelievable footballer.

> I said it when he was at Southampton. He’s one of the few players I’ve watched in the Premier League who looks like a man playing in boy’s football.

> You never saw him hurried, he’s always in the right position, you barely saw him sprint in a football match, which I have a lot of respect for. He’s made such a difference to their backline.

> I can’t see too many centre-backs better than him in world football.

Van Dijk is surely the first name on Jurgen Klopp’s team-sheet these days, despite there being so many influential figures.

He holds the key to Liverpool continuing their title push, with that £75million fee now looking like a bargain.
