# Moreno being monitored by Barcelona

Alberto Moreno is being linked with a move to Barcelona.

I’ll say it again.

Alberto Moreno is being linked with a move to Barcelona.

[The Liverpool Echo claim](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-news-transfers-live-milner-15251359) that reports in Spain are suggesting the La Liga giants are looking at the 26-year-old as a possible back-up to Jordi Alba, in an effort to replace Everton’s summer acquisition Lucas Digne.

Moreno’s contract is up at the end of the season, and it seems unlikely the Spaniard would be offered a new deal by Jürgen Klopp.

Playing second fiddle to Andrew Robertson, Moreno has made one appearance for the Reds so far this season, coming in the League Cup.

Losing 2-1 to Chelsea, Moreno was incinerated by Eden Hazard’s incisive run for the winning goal.

Moreno has made 134 appearances in his time on Merseyside, bringing moments of total ecstasy and jaw-dropping disbelief – and not always for the best reasons.
