# Moreno eyeing summer move to Sevilla

Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno is keen to leave the club and return to Sevilla in Spain next summer.

[According to Estadio Deportivo, via Sport Witness,](https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpool-player-clear-will-not-sign-new-contract-ex-reds-star-wants-join-club/) Moreno is set to let his contract run down before sealing a free transfer back to his home country.

Moreno will reject any attempt from Liverpool to pin him down to a new deal and try to secure a transfer to his former club.

The Spaniard joined Liverpool in 2014 from Sevilla in a deal thought to be worth in the region of £12m.

Since his move to Anfield, Moreno has racked up over 100 appearances for Liverpool and scored three goals.

He made 62 first-team appearances for Sevilla before his Premier League adventure and won the Europa League in the 2013/14 season.

The 26-year-old has been capped four times by Spain, the last of which came in November 2017.
