# Mourinho lauds Robertson after Liverpool’s win over Manchester United

Jose Mourinho heaped praise on Andy Robertson after his Manchester United side were beaten at Liverpool on Sunday.

The Reds were magnificent at home to their bitter rivals, winning 3-1 and comprehensively outplaying them throughout.

The victory took Jurgen Klopp’s side back to the top of the Premier League, as they showcased their title credentials once again.

Mourinho couldn’t fault his own players in his post-match press conference and he singled out the relentless Robertson for special praise:

> The players gave everything, and when the players give everything I am never frustrated towards them. I have a good feeling towards them.

> They play in relation to their qualities, the same way Liverpool play in relation to their qualities.

> They are fast, they are intense, they are aggressive, they are physical, they are objective. They play 200 miles per hour with and without the ball.

> I am still tired just looking at (Andy) Robertson! He makes 100 metre sprints per minute, absolutely incredible, and these are qualities.

Robertson has been an incredible signing by Klopp, with many unsure about him when he joined from Hull City in the summer of 2017.

The Scotland captain is unquestionably one of the best left-backs in Europe currently and he will be key to Liverpool’s title push.
