# Nicholas feels Villa’s Trezeguet could “hurt” Liverpool

Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas feels that Aston Villa winger Trezeguet could “hurt” Liverpool during their Premier League encounter.

The Reds travel to Villa Park later today to face Dean Smith’s side, who have settled well into the Premier League after gaining promotion from the Championship last season.

Villa have shown their capability to be a dangerous attacking force and Nicholas feels Trezeguet could be the man to do damage to Jurgen Klopp’s men. As quoted on [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/12090/11850086/charlies-premier-league-predictions), Nicholas said:

> Villa do not like to be overly cautious or tactical – they want McGinn and Grealish on the ball, with the energy and drive to find the gaps that Liverpool will leave open.

> It could be Trezeguet who could hurt Liverpool, especially in these wide areas. Everybody has seen with Trent Alexander-Arnold that he is unbelievable going forward but can leave gaps at the back, so how do you expose it? It is the wide areas where Liverpool can win and lose games.

Does Nicholas have a point?

Trezeguet is a man lacking in confidence and may not even be handed a start against Liverpool.

Many teams have tried to “expose” the wide areas against Liverpool and plenty have failed. Nicholas seems to be clutching at straws with this assessment because Alexander-Arnold and Robertson have developed their defensive attributes.

Despite this, Nicholas did admit that he expects the Reds to come away with a comfortable victory.
