# Noel Gallagher tips Liverpool and Man City to meet in Champions League final

Noel Gallagher has tipped Liverpool and Manchester City to meet in the Champions League final later this season.

The lifelong City fan has had [plenty to say](https://www.empireofthekop.com/2019/12/09/video-noel-gallaghers-smarmy-pre-season-prediction-of-irrelevant-liverpool-has-not-aged-well/) about the Reds in the past, and he has been at it again on Monday.

Speaking to *[talkSPORT](https://talksport.com/football/676974/noel-gallagher-exclusive-liverpool-fans-terrible-oasis-man-city-champions-league-final/)*, Gallagher laid into Liverpool fans for being both bad winners and losers, also revealing his prediction for the Champions League final:

### Read Liverpool Verdict

Although the prospect of a Liverpool versus City final may be an unbearable one for many – the thought of losing the game doesn’t bear thinking about – the Reds should feel confident if it happens.

Jurgen Klopp’s men famously knocked Pep Guardiola’s men out of the Champions League back in 2017/18, prevailing 5-1 on aggregate in the quarter-final clash.

They also have more pedigree in the competition overall, winning it last season and reaching the final the year before. On the flip side, Guardiola is yet to reach the final during his time at the Etihad.

It would be a very tough match to call, of course, but history shows Liverpool shouldn’t fear City, especially when you look at the current Premier League table.

There’s a long way to go before that happens, though.
