# Oxlade-Chamberlain recalled by England – three other Reds stars selected

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is [back](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/372520-four-reds-named-in-england-squad) in the England squad, following a promising run of form.

The 26-year-old has scored four times in his last four appearances, including three strikes outside the penalty area.

He fired home the winning goal against Genk on Tuesday, as he pushes for a start at home to Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.

It is a very positive piece of news for Oxlade-Chamberlain, who missed over a year of action after suffering cruciate ligament damage in 2018.

Also joining the midfielder in Gareth Southgate’s squad are Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez and Jordan Henderson.

All three will be hoping to impress, as will Oxlade-Chamberlain, ahead of Euro 2020 next summer.

Henderson is the most likely to start for the Three Lions currently – Alexander-Arnold is somehow not always first-choice right-back – but the quartet are all good enough to make it into England ‘s best XI.

Southgate’s men host Montenegro on November 14th, before facing a trip to Kosovo on November 17th, both of which are Euro 2020 qualifiers.
