# Liverpool tracking German defender Philipp Max

German defender Philipp Max is being tracked by a whole host of Premier League clubs including, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham, as reported by the [Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5162713/Philipp-Max-tracked-Man-United-Liverpool-Tottenham.html).

The 24-year-old has impressed throughout the season in the Bundesliga with Augsburg at left-back whilst he also helped Germany claim a silver medal at the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.

He is widely expected to be named in Germany’s World Cup squad next year in Russia after impressing this year.

Four of last season’s top seven in the Premier League have shown their interest in the player with Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton all being especially keen on him.

Whilst he is a left-back, he can also play in a more advanced position which could help his cause in the international set-up.

Liverpool have sent scouts to watch Max as the left-back position and will continue to monitor him up until January.
