# Player Ratings: Liverpool 3-0 Villarreal

Liverpool Football Club are going to a European final.

Read it. Take it in. It may be the Europa League, but with a place in the Champions League group stage on the line, the game in Basel will provide a glorious finish to what has otherwise been a tumultuous season.

Despite Twitter-wide concerns after the late 1-0 defeat at El Madrigal, Jürgen Klopp’s Reds stormed Villarreal, coming away with an utterly deserved 3-1 aggregate victory.

An own goal by Villarreal captain Bruno Soriano, followed by finishes from Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana, secured Liverpool’s place on a night fuelled by a screaming, chanting, delirious Anfield crowd.

The images of Jürgen Klopp fist-pumping all four sides of the stadium at full-time perfectly symbolise the enthusiasm and passion that the German has brought to a flagging club.

Every player who featured against Villarreal performed magnificently, but some were more magnificent than others.
