# Pogba’s brother tips Liverpool to ‘crush’ Atletico Madrid

Paul Pogba’s brother believes Liverpool will “crush” Atletico Madrid when the two sides meet in the Champions League next year.

The two sides have been pitted against one another in the last-16, in what is one of the standout ties of the round.

Liverpool will go into the two-legged affair as favourites to progress, as they look to clinch back-to-back European Cups for the first time since 1978.

While many are expecting Atletico to post a threat to the Reds’ chances of retaining their crown, someone who thinks it will be one-sided is Mathias Pogba.

Speaking on *El Chiringuito*, with quotes provided by [https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpool-will-crush-atletico-madrid-man-united-stars-brother-predicts-emphatic-victory-klopps-men/](https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpool-will-crush-atletico-madrid-man-united-stars-brother-predicts-emphatic-victory-klopps-men/)*[Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpool-will-crush-atletico-madrid-man-united-stars-brother-predicts-emphatic-victory-klopps-men/)*, the Manchester United star’s brother gave the Liga side no hope:

> Liverpool will crush Atletico. We’ll see. I’ll call you. If I’m wrong, I’ll admit it. Get ready, my friend.

> I’m just saying what I think, like everyone here. Liverpool will crush Atlético Madrid.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

Atletico aren’t quite the force they were a few years ago, but they will still be very tough opponents for Liverpool.

Diego Simeone is one of the best managers in Europe and his teams are always difficult to break down.

It would be a surprise if Liverpool were dumped out, but it also wouldn’t go down as a giant upset.
