# Reds fans react to staggering statistic comparing Liverpool and Man City

Liverpool got their title charge back on track over the weekend, following the briefest of dips. The Reds returned to winning ways at home to Bournemouth, beating the Cherries 2-1.

Manchester City’s defeat to Manchester United on Sunday means just two wins are required to seal Premier League glory, following a truly memorable season at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have swatted aside all who have stood before them during the campaign, including City, who are now a whopping 25 points adrift of the league leaders.

Pep Guardiola’s men were firm favourites to win a third straight league crown back in August, but things haven’t panned out that way.

City’s defeat at United was their seventh in the league this season, meaning they have lost the same number of matches in 2019/20 as Liverpool have since the start of 2017/18, as revealed by writer Sam McGuire on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/SamMcGuire90/status/1236772437708230660?s=20):

> Do you know what's mad? Liverpool have lost seven Premier League matches since the start of 2017/18. Man City have lost seven this season.

It is a remarkable statistic and these Reds supporters have been reacting to it on Twitter.
