Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson battled through injury to face Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The Scottish international was suffering with an ankle issue but was fit enough to play in the 2-1 victory at Selhurst Park.

Robertson missed Scotland’s international fixtures with the issue and following the victory, he revealed that he is still not 100% fit. As quoted on the [club’s official website](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/374569-andy-robertson-fitness-clean-sheets-sadio-mane), he said:

> It is still painful but, you know, it is something that I gave time for it to improve.

> Keeping it moving will help it. Hopefully, in time it will be better. I was desperate to play and the gaffer asked me if I was OK.

> I believed I was and luckily I got through the game.

Robertson’s ankle issue will undoubtedly be a cause for concern for Klopp because he’s one of the key players in the team who can’t afford to miss any matches.

The left-back provides incredible energy up and down the flank and with a busy fixture schedule coming up, his fitness could be heavily tested.

James Milner and Fabinho can deputise for Robertson, but they won’t have the same impact that he has.
