# Salah and Mane among top-five most valuable players in the world

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are rated among the five most valuable footballers in the world, according to [https://football-observatory.com/IMG/sites/b5wp/2019/wp279/en/](https://football-observatory.com/IMG/sites/b5wp/2019/wp279/en/)*[CIES Football Observatory](https://football-observatory.com/IMG/sites/b5wp/2019/wp279/en/)*.

The African pair have become superstars at Liverpool, scoring a combined 159 goals in 281 appearances for the Reds.

They are among the most feared wide players on the planet because of this, wreaking havoc over the last few years.

Salah and Mane’s quality is summed up by their latest valuations, with the former rated at €175.1 million and the latter worth €155.6 million.

That places them third and fifth on the list respectively, with Kylian Mbappe (€265.2m) topping the pile.

Roberto Firmino (€111.5m) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (€110.5m) are in the top 20, too, ranking at 14th and 15th.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

Salah and Mane placing so high speaks volumes about their development under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

Both arrived as highly-rated players, but they have become genuinely world-class in a Reds shirt, as well as being modern day greats at Anfield.

At 27, the pair are performing at the peak of their powers and they will continue to play priceless roles between now and the end of the season.

Mane, in particular, has been an inspiration in 2019/20, scoring 15 times, but Salah also has 14 goals to his name.

It is a slight surprise that their rankings aren’t reversed, considering they are the same age and Mane has had a better 12 months, but that says a lot about how high Salah’s ceiling is.
