# Swansea and Norwich keen on Ward deal

Swansea have joined Norwich in the race to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward this summer.

[According to The Mirror,](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/) both sides are looking to make Ward their new number one next season.

Norwich are eyeing Ward as a successor to Angus Gunn, who has returned to Manchester City after his loan spell at the club.

Swansea, meanwhile, are planning for life after Lukasz Fabianski, who is expected to leave the club this summer.

The report claims that Ward looks set to leave Liverpool this summer as he seeks regular first-team football at the age of 24.

Ward was on loan to Huddersfield when they were promoted in the 2016/17 season, which has clearly attracted interest from Swansea and Norwich.

Liverpool are in the market for a new goalkeeper, with Roma’s Alisson thought to be the club’s number one target.
