# These LFC fans react as City supporters want Milner banned from Kompany’s testimonial

Some Manchester City fans want James Milner removed from playing in Vincent Kompany’s testimonial.

The Belgian was a legend during his time at the Etihad and will be honoured in a match on September 11.

Milner enjoyed a successful period of his own at City, winning two Premier League titles and proving to be an excellent squad player.

Hilariously, a section of the their fanbase want him nowhere near the testimonial, however, with Twitter account [@YourMCFC](https://twitter.com/YourMCFC/status/1169290062540001285?s=20) stating:

Needless to say, these Liverpool supporters have had their say in response, finding the entire situation laughable.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

It’s worth stressing immediately that many City fans probably take a different stance on the matter.

Anyone who values Milner properly will know that he was a superb servant to the reigning Premier League champions, and is the definition of a model professional.

This attempt to get him banned from Kompany’s testimonial does hint towards a certain level of insecurity, perhaps because Milner plays for Liverpool – a team City fans seemingly have a growing dislike for.

Milner is sure to still play in the game, of course – Kompany himself clearly wants him there – so this ‘fan’ account isn’t going to have much luck with its petition.
