# Thiago produces outrageous touch and pass during Liverpool training session

Thiago has shown off his footballing brilliance in Liverpool training, producing a sublime touch and pass that Reds supporters will love.

The Spaniard [joined](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54199589) last month as one of the most high-profile signings in recent Reds history, arriving from Bayern Munich.

In the space of just 45 minutes away to Chelsea on his debut, Thiago displayed his [world-class brilliance](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERvtIGNl79c&vl=en-GB), running the show in midfield and breaking a passing record at the time – [since beaten by Virgil van Dijk](https://www.thisisanfield.com/2020/09/robertson-on-fire-van-dijk-breaks-thiagos-record-5-key-stats-from-liverpool-3-1-arsenal/).

In a clip released by the club’s [official Twitter account](https://twitter.com/LFC/status/1316356227794972672?s=20) on Wednesday, Thiago takes a long ball down with one deft touch with the outside of his foot, before playing a bit of keepy-uppy and drilling a pass back to his intended target.

James Milner watches on in the background looking every bit as impressed as Reds fans across the globe no doubt are, as Thiago further whets the appetite ahead of what could be his first start on Saturday.

Liverpool head to Goodison Park to take on Everton in a huge Merseyside derby this weekend, with the Blues not yet dropping a point in the Premier League this season.

With Thiago looking refreshed after recovering from [testing positive](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/410566-thiago-alcantara-tests-positive-for-covid-19) for COVID-19, Jurgen Klopp must surely be eyeing up a place in the starting lineup for him.

Liverpool have lacked a world-class playmaker in their midfield for years, but the 29-year-old really does look like the man to fill that void.
