# Werner has offers on the table from Man United and Barcelona

Timo Werner has offers on the table from Manchester United and Barcelona, according to [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/1624500/?source=twitteruk).

Despite this, however, the 23-year-old is still thought to be holding out for a summer move to Liverpool, as has been [reported](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2020/02/26/liverpool-offer-timo-werner-five-year-e8m-per-season-contract/) throughout this season.

Werner seemingly [flirted](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/timo-werner-liverpool-transfer-news-best-in-world-a4366671.html) with the Reds recently, calling them the ‘best team in the world’ following their recent success.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

Of all the players Liverpool have been linked with recently, I believe Werner is the most likely the join the Jurgen Klopp revolution. He has made it [clear how much](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/timo-werner-liverpool-transfer-news-best-in-world-a4366671.html) he would likely to play for the Reds and he feels like a perfect addition, in terms of adding much-needed depth to the attack.

While the likes of Divock Origi, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can be [effective](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/26/Show/England-Liverpool) in attacking areas, none have Werner’s eye for goal, with the German already scoring [27 times](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/130903/Show/Timo-Werner) this season, not to mention bagging eight assists, too.

He has the potential to be a world-class player, if he isn’t already, and he could dovetail in the same starting line-up as Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, or fill in for one of them.

If Werner does join Liverpool, I would expect him to be eased in, much like Takumi Minamino is currently. He could then be primed to play a starring role midway through next season, when Salah and Mane head off to the Africa Cup of Nations.
