# Wijnaldum set to sign new-and-improved deal at Liverpool

Gini Wijnaldum will be the next Liverpool player to sign a new contract at the club, according to [https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-liverpool-working-on-big-money-new-deal-after-blizzard-of-agreements/](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-liverpool-working-on-big-money-new-deal-after-blizzard-of-agreements/)*[Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-liverpool-working-on-big-money-new-deal-after-blizzard-of-agreements/)*.

The Dutchman is currently nursing an injury picked up in the 2-0 win over Watford, but his absence is only expected to be short-term.

Wijnaldum has become a key man under Jurgen Klopp, knitting things together in the middle of the park.

The 29-year-old is set to be rewarded for his consistency, extending his stay at Anfield in the near future.

His current deal expires in the summer of 2021, but a new deal will see him remain on Merseyside beyond that date.
