# Fans Reactions after Liverpool’s win over Spurs

Liverpool have made it five wins out of five at the start of this Premier League season by beating Tottenham 2-1 at Wembley. Goals from Georginio Wijnaldum and Roberto Firmino gave the Reds a comfortable lead, before Eric Lamela squeezed a consolation late on for Spurs.

It was a game where Jurgen Klopp’s men should have scored more and punished their opponents, much to the frustration of the manager. As a result, a consolation goal almost brought some life to the home team.

This is the first time in 28 years that the Reds have won all of their opening five league games. To add cherry to the cake, they haven’t been at their best, especially in the final third. So we may wonder as to when the likes of Mohamed Salah come into the groove, the opposition teams will be threatened from all corners.

Here are the fan reactions after the game. starting with Liverpool, followed by Tottenham:

**Liverpool**

This fan wasn’t happy with the lack of cutting edge in the final third, but happy with the three points.

> Delighted with the three points, not happy with the lack of a clinical edge, should have been out of sight, at least 4 up. Plenty to improve on.

Praise for James Milner, who gave his all in midfield.

> Great player getting better every week. Strange that he has never won an [@LFC](https://twitter.com/LFC?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) player of the month award [#Milner](https://twitter.com/hashtag/Milner?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)

Happy with an impressive away performance overall.

> Just heading back from Wembley after a seriously impressive away performance from [#LFC](https://twitter.com/hashtag/LFC?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) today. Defensively so calm & assured for the vast majority of the game.

A fan website tweeted a stat which showed why Gomez and van Dijk were fantastic again:

**Tottenham fan reactions:**

This man was respectful to Liverpool for being too strong on the day.

> Liverpool very strong today, Spurs very poor, focus on next game now COYS

This was originally supposed to the first game of Spurs in their new stadium. So this fan was relieved.

> It’s a good job it wasn’t held at the new stadium as originally planned what an embarrassment that would have been
