# Four Findings: Liverpool 4-1 Leicester City

Returning to league play after the international break, the rollercoaster returned. Jurgen Klopp’s men restarted in flying fashion, as Liverpool lit up Leicester City 4-1 in Anfield’s refreshed reopening.

Despite a momentary lapse and brief wobble, the Reds recovered to thrash the champions. Like the season opener at Arsenal, this score did not flatter and Liverpool squandered chances to score even more. It made for a welcome return to the ruthless attacking form, as well as the home ground.

While the Foxes began with a strong few minutes, Liverpool ascended quickly and surged forward with front-footed patterns of play that were as lively as they were threatening. Just after a half an hour, the Reds established a 2-0 lead and looked to be in complete control of the match. Yet a mental mistake and conceded goal gave the visitors a breath of hope heading into he half.

Within minutes of the restart, the Reds regained command and cruised to victory when Adam Lallana continued his goal-scoring form with a laser lash to all but finish things. The Anfield faithful, full of voiced were treated to new hope and an emphatic statement of intent from the home side. Such a showing makes the next match against Chelsea yet another test of Liverpool’s resolve and consistency.

Here are four findings from the match.
