# Inter Milan face competition from Sevilla for Sturridge

Italian side Inter Milan are facing serious competition from La Liga outfit Sevilla in the race for Daniel Sturridge’s services, according to [Goal](https://www.goal.com/en/news/inter-make-serious-push-for-sturridge-as-sevilla-consider-formal-/al1fmd26fwnx17rdjh48arzeb).

It is believed that Inter are still favourites to land Sturridge on loan this month, however, the striker himself is hoping Sevilla will make contact to the Reds about taking him to Spain.

Sturridge, 28, last featured for Jurgen Klopp’s side in a league game back in November against Chelsea, and the Reds have no problem in shipping the player out this month.

Inter are believed to have offered Liverpool a loan fee to take the Englishman to the San Siro until the end of the season and have also offered to pay 100% of the player’s wages.

It is still unclear to where Sturridge will end up, as he seeks regular first-team football in order for him to try and make it into Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad this summer.
