# Liverpool line-up free transfer move for Sead Kolasinac

Liverpool are believed to be interested in a move for Schalke fullback Sead Kolasinac.

The Reds, along with Chelsea and West Ham, are said to be keeping tabs on his situation ahead of a 2017 transfer, according to [BILD](https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/schalke/graetscht-sich-kolasinac-nach-england-48541538.bild.html#remId=1494393895961550474).

Alberto Moreno has lost his place at left-back due to poor form lately, with James Milner stepping in and offering consistent performances every week.

In an ideal world, Liverpool would want Milner to be playing in a midfield role so they need to think about possible signings at left-back, with Kolasinac being one of them.

The 23-year-old’s contract will expire at the end of the current season and BILD believe he could be on his way out of the VELTINS-Arena with Baba Rahman joining the German outfit on loan.

Kolasinac failed to rule out a move away from Schalke, as he concentrates on Schalke’s revival in the Bundesliga, as quoted by BILD:

> *Both sides must agree \[on terms\]. I have no pressure \[to make a decision\].*

However, speaking to the German news outlet BILD, Sporting Director Christian Heidel is keen on keeping the Kolasinac in Gelsenkirchen:

> *Sead is a true Schalke boy whom we’d like to keep.*

The idea of recruiting another fullback so we’re not short-handed is not the worst move.
