# Liverpool Player ratings: Cardiff City (H)

Liverpool cruise their way into a 4-1 win over Cardiff City at Anfield to go top of the Premier League. A brace from Sadio Mane, complimented by goals from Mohamed Salah and Xherdan Shaqiri sealed the three points for the Reds.

The only blemish was when at 2-0, Callum Paterson scored to give Neil Warnock’s men some hope. However, that small hope was vanquished by Shaqiri and Mane scoring late on to make the scoreline look more emphatic.

Salah scored 10 minutes into the game to provide the perfect start for Liverpool, but they struggled a bit to really kick on and score more in the first half. The initial 20-minute phase after the break was slightly off the boil from the Reds. Nonetheless, Mane came up with a moment brilliance with bullet finish.

The Welsh side did get a lifeline when Paterson latched onto a deflected cross to make it 2-1, but the home side showed their quality when required and scored two late goals to seal a good win.

Here’s how Jurgen Klopp’s men rated in the game:
