# Real Madrid plot ambitious move for Salah

Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid are keen to make a move for Liverpool’s in-form forward Mohammed Salah as president Florentino Perez looks for multiple big signings, according to a report on [CalcioMercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/real-madrid-ready-new-galactico-project-50648).

The Egyptian has managed to find the back of the net 20 times in all competitions this season for Liverpool and his form has caught the eye of Perez, who is eager to start a new era of galacticos at Real Madrid, with Salah at the top of his list.

Salah is seen as the ideal replacement for the ageing and injury prone Gareth Bale, who has been linked with a move away from Spain.

Perez believes that an offer of around £100m should be enough to secure the services of Salah and is also open to using Bale in a potential swap deal plus some money.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane recently openly praised Salah. He said:

> He is a great player. He showed that in Rome and is now doing the same in Liverpool. He is an important player and is growing more all the time. He is still young, and can improve a great deal.

Perez is eager to make multiple huge signings, either in January or after the 2018 World Cup in Russia, where Salah will play with Egypt.

Liverpool will obviously try their best to keep their star man but the lure and spending power of Real Madrid may be too much to handle.
