Liverpool’s reward for a strong end to their season last year, which resulted in them finishing in fourth place in the Premier League, is a two-legged tie with Bundesliga side Hoffenheim.
The first-leg of the tie takes place tonight in Germany and Liverpool will know that they are in for a tough test.
Sebastian Rudy and Niklas Sule have left the club to join Bayern Munich but even so, Hoffenheim are a strong team who could give Liverpool some problems.
