# Four Findings: Liverpool 1-1 Southampton

Liverpool remain locked in a vicious loop of deja vu.

Another match, another draw, this time a 1-1 draw against Southampton at Anfield.

Five straight draws matches a ‘record’ set by Bob Paisley’s 1975 squad, but this current crop of players have also drawn eight of the last nine.

The attack continues to struggle for multiple reasons, but Christian Benteke’s return offers glimmers of hope. Meanwhile, the defence has yet to meet a lead that they have liked. Once again, new manager Jurgen Klopp’s inaugural match at Anfield, this one in league play, was spoiled.

It was another even affair where neither team could muster much successful penetration or creativity in the final third, until Big Ben’s towering header in the 77th minute, but it proved not enough as a late concession allowed Southampton to steal a point.

Here are four findings from the match.
