# Four Findings: Liverpool 3-0 Manchester City

Losing a cup final remains heartbreaking. Still, turning around and facing the same opponent in such short order had the potential to see Manchester City ride high into Anfield. Yet, Liverpool showed desire and left the Citizens looking lethargic and uninterested.

Most exciting, the Reds showed a now familiar aggression and industry but were able to enter half-time ahead. Both first half goals served to give Liverpool belief. Not only did the Reds dominate the midfield, they were able to carve open their opponents with elusive incision.

Whether it was Adam Lallana’s long drive, James Milner’s well-worked strike, or Roberto Firmino’s fine finish, Liverpool took their chances and compounded City’s difficulties. Liverpool insured that Manchester City would suffer a bit more of a hangover from their cup win.

Here are four findings from the match.
