Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic is set to turn down a loan move to fellow Premier League side Cardiff City in favour of staying and fighting for a place in the first team at Anfield, according to a report on the Liverpool Echo.
Grujic has been being watched by a few clubs who are interested in signing him on a season-long loan. However, the Serbian reportedly has no plans of leaving Anfield before the transfer window slams shut tomorrow evening.
Grujic had the option of signing a new deal with the Merseyside club before heading on loan to Cardiff, but the player has indicated that he would rather remain with Jurgen Klopp’s men.

The 22-year-old helped Cardiff to secure promotion to the Premier League and the Bluebirds were so impressed with his performances that they wanted to take him for another year.
Klopp will be happy with the desire that Grujic is showing to fight for his position but that may prove to be very difficult, with the Reds having good quality already in midfield.
Liverpool are not expecting Grujic to leave before the deadline but a loan move later on in the year hasn’t been ruled out.
