Liverpool have had a pretty good week all in all.
A solid but unfortunate draw against Manchester United was followed up with an impressive win over West Brom which has helped the Reds climb the table and into the top four – level on points with Premier League leaders Manchester City.
With Jurgen Klopp’s side looking primed and ready to mount a real charge on the league title this season, progress in the domestic cup competitions would offer his side a real chance at silverware given there is no distraction of Europa League football this team.
As we all know, Klopp’s men lost two finals last season, including the League Cup final against Manchester City on penalties. Liverpool will hope to go one better this year but standing in their way in the fourth round is Tottenham.
