# Fan Reactions after Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Leicester

Liverpool scrapped their way to a vital 2-1 win against Leicester City away at King Power Stadium. This is the first time in 28 years that Reds have won their first four games in a league season.

Sadio Mane started the scoring for the afternoon, after Andrew Robertson bullied past Ricardo Pereira to set up the Senegalese. Roberto Firmino then got himself in bags of space from a corner late in the first half to head home the visitor’s second.

Leicester did come back well in the second period, forcing the Liverpool to make mistakes in possession. The pivotal error came when Virgil van Dijk played a back pass which required a first-time clearance from goalkeeper Alisson Becker it the Brazilian tried to turn out of trouble with Kelechi Iheanacho in pursuit. As a result, the former lost possession and in the end, was punished.

Here are some of the reactions both sets of fans:

**LIVERPOOL:**

Praising the character of the team:

> The more I think about it the more convinced I am that we are winning this league. Gomez and maybe Robbo are in top form…. mo, Mané,IronBorn maybe Wijnaldum in decent form. But our best players will get so much better….yet we are stillTOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!

And another…

> Big last 20 minutes that today..Let a 2 goal lead slip & doubts would have resurfaced..Hold on & it’s further proof of Liverpool’s new defensive resilience..Huge 3 points on that basis.

Gomez has been fantastic in central defence, deserves credit from the fans:

> It’s fair to say Joe Gomez has took the CB spot trusted by Klopp with impressive performances, in his first 4 PL games. Deserves his spot with his excellent reading of the game and concentration. The real test for him is in two weeks. [pic.twitter.com/3VjahP4zIT](https://t.co/3VjahP4zIT)

Alisson made a mistake by juggling around with the ball, and got duly punished, Liverpool fans with words of support for the Brazilian:

> Head up Alisson! A class GK, just glad he’s made a mistake that hasn’t cost us any points, Klopp will sort him out, still early days! Gomez was quality! Not at our best today, but maximum points ![?](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/11/svg/1f64c.svg)![?](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/11/svg/1f534.svg) [#YNWA](https://twitter.com/hashtag/YNWA?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)

Some blaming the manager to start with wrong tactics:

> this is really getting to be annoying – we start a game with the wrong tactics, wrong personnel, and go in a couple of goals down. Then Puel fixes all the stuff he did wrong and we boss the 2nd half [#LEILIV](https://twitter.com/hashtag/LEILIV?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)
