# Four Findings: Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea

Disappointment comes in a variety of guises. While this result may not be met with the same dismay as the draw in Sevilla, it still frustrates. Liverpool surrendered a lead, again, stumbling late and forced to share the points with Chelsea, 1-1 at Anfield.

This was a match fraught with tension. A draw really suited neither side but with Liverpool still sitting outside the top spots, a loss might have been more costly for the Reds.

Certainly after the midweek surrender in Spain, Liverpool needed to put in a performance that helped suggest they had moved past that disappointment. This result, though similar, suggest that there are still more positives in play.

Unable to keep a clean sheet against Chelsea, Liverpool’s defence actually proved quite solid. Although there were a few ropey spells, the back four played well, ultimately falling victim to a flukey goal. There was misfortune in this late concession but it still means missed opportunity to climb the table and gain more confidence.

Here are four findings from the match.
