# Four Findings: Liverpool 2-2 West Ham

As the festive season begins, Liverpool lacked lustre and faltered in their efforts to keep pace with league leading Chelsea. Despite a dream start with a fifth minute goal after dominating the visiting side, the Reds could only draw 2-2 with West Ham at Anfield.

This was a case of lost points once again as Liverpool could not make their advantage count and nearly self-destructed for the second week in a row. The Reds still look out of synch and imbalanced with a lineup that is struggling to overcome some key injuries. The threat is not quite as dangerous going forward and defensively there are some questions that need answering.

Jumping on top of the Hammers so quickly looked like quite the remedy for a team that needed to rebound after collapsing at Bournemouth. Yet some suspect play in their own end quickly erased their lead and left Liverpool fighting just to earn a point.

The Reds never seemed able to exercise genuine control over the contest and while they still remain the leagues highest scoring attack their skyrocketing scoring form has come back down to earth somewhat. Consequently, any frailties at the back make the margins that much finer.

Here are four findings from the match.
