# Four Findings: Maribor 0-7 (seven) Liverpool

At last, Liverpool took their chances and took no prisoners, finding their finish and punishing an opponent’s errors. The Reds celebrate their heaviest victory ever in the Champions League, mauling Maribor 0-7 in Slovenia.

It has been some time in coming but Liverpool got nearly everything right, jumping atop their group in Europe and delivering an absolute hiding to side that they should beat. The Reds started with intent, scoring in the opening three minutes when Roberto Firming slotted home a Mo Salah cross.

Still, the Reds possessed a hunger, built over the previous eight matches, that would not be so easily satisfied. The goals rained in as Liverpool headed to half-time with a four goal lead. Better still, the break provided little contentment as Maribor was put to the sword with long-awaited ruthlessness. It proved the most welcome of results for a team in need of one.

Here are four findings from the match.
