# Player Ratings: Burton Albion 0-5 Liverpool

After a disappointing loss to Burnley at the weekend, Liverpool would have been glad to have a game so quickly after to help them get over the defeat.

The Reds travelled to Championship new boys Burton Albion, managed by former Liverpool player Nigel Clough.

With no European football this season, Jurgen Klopp made it clear that he will be taking the cups more seriously this season, and the strength of his team showed that.

Sadio Mane returned from injury, Emre Can and Divock Origi got their first starts of the season while Joel Matip made his competitive debut at the back.

The Reds dominated the game from start to finish and ran out comfortable winners thanks to goals from Origi, Roberto Firmino, an own goal after a flick from Can and then a late brace from substitute Daniel Sturridge.

Here are my player ratings from the game.
