# Alisson ‘content to remain at Roma’ amid Liverpool links

Liverpool’s chances of signing Roma goalkeeper Alisson appear to have taken a hit, with Brazil’s goalkeeping coach reiterating the player’s happiness in Italy.

Claudio Tafferel spoke to the media about the Brazil international’s chances of leaving Roma this summer, with talk of a move to Liverpool continuing to build ahead of next season.

Alisson has long been linked with a move to Anfield and with the Reds keen to replace Loris Karius with a new, top-class goalkeeper, the Roma star is a target for Jurgen Klopp.

However, as quoted by the [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-target-allison-happy-stay-14767378), it seems the Reds will be hard-pressed to lure Alisson away from Roma, with Tafferel claiming that the shot-stopper is happy to stay put.

> Alisson is very happy at Roma and the rumours of a transfer are just rumours. I don’t know what will happen, but he said he’d be content to remain at Roma.

Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak has also been named as a target for the Reds but it’s likely that the release clause included in his deal with the La Liga side will be enough to put Liverpool off a summer approach.
