# Allan Rodrigues’ Liverpool future thrown into further doubt

The future of Allan Rodrigues at Liverpool has been thrown into fresh doubt with the news that he is set to join Fluminense until the end of the season.

The Brazilian is currently on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt but is keen to terminate the deal and return to his homeland instead.

There have been constant issues surrounding gaining a UK work permit for Allan since he moved to Liverpool in 2015.

It has led to loan spells at SJK, Sint-Truiden, Hertha Berlin and Apollon Limassol.

The 21-year-old has struggled for playing time at Frankfurt this season, making only four appearances in the Bundesliga.

According to Fox Sports reporter [Fabio Azevedo](https://twitter.com/fabioazevedotv/status/1092858774023491585), via *[This is Anfield](https://www.thisisanfield.com/2019/02/latest-transfer-move-suggests-liverpool-are-giving-up-on-young-midfielder/)*, Allan will undergo a medical with Fluminense on Wednesday.

It is likely to further hamper his chances of earning a UK work permit, due to leaving Europe.

Liverpool are surely considering giving up on him now, with the situation becoming increasingly complex for a player who is yet to even represent the first team.
