# Bobby Adekanye closes in on Lazio move

Liverpool forward Bobby Adekanye is close to agreeing a deal that will see him join Serie A giants Lazio in the summer, as per [Neil Jones of Goal](https://twitter.com/neiljonesgoal/status/1109058721366401024).

The young Dutch forward will swap Anfield for Italy after becoming disillusioned with life on Merseyside as he’s never really been close to getting any chance of playing first-team football.

Liverpool signed the Nigerian-born, Dutch youth international from Barcelona back in the summer of 2015 and there were high hopes for him.

However, Adekanye hasn’t been able to force himself into Jurgen Klopp’s plans and at age 20, he’s decided that it will be best if he leaves the club and move to Italy in the hope of playing regular first-team football.

Adekanye will join up with two ex-Reds; Lucas Leiva and Luis Alberto, and he could also be joined by Alberto Moreno who is also [reportedly](https://readliverpoolfc.com/2019/03/21/moreno-flies-out-to-rome-as-he-closes-in-on-move-away/) close to joining the Italian side
