# Brad Jones confirms Liverpool departure

While all eyes where on Steven Gerrard yesterday, another Liverpool player confirmed that he too will leave the club this summer.

Back up goalkeeper Brad Jones posted a message on social media confirming that he’ll be moving on at the end of the season.

Jones said: “*I would have loved to have stayed at the club I have supported since the age of five but sometimes the dream ends. I got to play in some amazing games, two Merseyside derbies with one being at Wembley which will stay with me forever*.”

He also thanked the Liverpool fans on behalf of himself and his family: “*I would also like to add my thanks to the LFC fans for the support that I have received over the past five year. It has been the best and worst periods of my life and I have always felt the warmth of these amazing people*.”

Jones made 27 appearances for the Reds, the last being on Boxing Day where he went off injured, having been made the starting goalkeeper a few weeks earlier after Simon Mignolet’s disappointing start to the season.
