# Ceballos desperate to make Liverpool switch

Liverpool have long been linked with a move for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.

The Reds are said to be on the lookout for creative talent in the summer as they aim to fill the void left by Philippe Coutinho’s departure for Barcelona. Real Madrid star Marco Asensio has been linked with a move to Anfield but it seems his teammate Ceballos is desperate to arrive on Merseyside in the near future.

It’s claimed by Spanish news outlet Marca, via [talkSPORT](https://talksport.com/football/liverpool-fc-transfer-news-dani-ceballos-asks-real-madrid-president-florentino-perez-let), that Ceballos has pleaded with Real president Florentino Perez to sanction his sale to Liverpool in the summer.

Ceballos has been exiled at the Bernabeu and has been largely unable to make an impact this season. This appears to have prompted him to seek pastures new, with Liverpool keeping a close eye on developments.

The 21-year-old showed his qualities for Real Betis prior to his move and has often displayed just how talented a player he is with Spain’s Under-21 side.
