# Connor Randall suffers fractured cheekbone

Liverpool defender Connor Randall, currently on loan at Rochdale, will miss three months of action after he fractured his cheekbone during Tuesday night’s Checkatrade Trophy victory over Bury.

The 22-year-old was forced off early in the first half and manager Keith Hill confirmed that he’s been sent back to Melwood for his rehabilitation.

He [said](https://www.rochdaleafc.co.uk/news/2018/september/injury--randall_cheekbone/):

> He’s got a fractured cheekbone. It was a clumsy accident that led to Connor having to come off, and unfortunately for Connor, he’s going to be out for 12 weeks. That’s a big miss for us and it’s a shame for him. He’s back at Liverpool because he needs an operation but we’re in contact. We wish him well in his recovery.

Randall’s loan at Dale was supposed to end in January so he’s unlikely to return, unless all parties can agree to an extension that could see him stay there until the end of the season.
