# Danny Ings likely to miss Tranmere friendly

Liverpool striker Danny Ings will likely miss the club’s second pre-season friendly of the summer as he has “severe blisters” according to a report from the official [Liverpool FC website](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/306573-liverpool-team-tranmere-lallana-van-dijk-wijnaldum).

Ings was hobbling during the 7-0 win over Chester FC at the weekend and is unlikely to feature at Prenton Park tonight as Liverpool take on Tranmere.

Dutch duo Virgil van Dijk and Georginio Wijnaldum will not be involved in the game either after they were allowed to report for pre-season training slightly later after their international commitments and the end of the last campaign.

Joel Matip, who missed the end of the last campaign, will also sit out of the game on the Wirral, but he is close to a return and could play against Bury on Saturday.

On a positive note, Adam Lallana, who missed the game at Chester due to illness, is fit and will be included in the squad to face the League Two side tonight.
