# Danny Ings wanted by Premier League clubs on loan

Danny Ings’ Liverpool tenure hasn’t exactly been what fans were hoping for but the club still believe in the striker long-term.

Having suffered season-ending knee injuries in back-to-back seasons after joining on a free transfer from Burnley in 2015, Ings has been limited to just 12 senior appearances for the Reds, scoring three goals.

Now back fit, Ings faces an uphill battle to work his way back into first-team consideration with the likes of Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Dominic Solanke all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Newcastle have been long-term admirers of the 25-year-old, while Everton, Southampton, Watford and Crystal Palace have all made contact with Liverpool regarding a move for the striker.

With one senior England cap to his name, Ings has allegedly been informed by Gareth Southgate that a strong second half to the 2017/18 season could see the striker play his way into his considerations for England’s World Cup squad.
