Speaking in a Q&A before Sunday’s 0-0 draw at home to Man United, Pearce revealed when he expects the 24-year-old to be back in the fold:

> Early February he should be back.

This is a major boost for Liverpool, with Jota seemingly back in the next couple of weeks.

Not only has he been a massive loss, but Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have also hit a run of poor form at the same time, [scoring once between them](https://www.lfchistory.net/SeasonArchive/Games/130) in the last four league games.

Jota’s return will not only provide Jurgen Klopp with another option in the final third, but it could also jolt the front-three back into life, with their place in the starting lineup under threat.

Virgil van Dijk has clearly been a huge loss this season, but Jota’s absence has arguably been just as costly in recent weeks.
