# ‘Dirty stuff’ – Andoni Iraola makes interesting Liverpool claim before Arsenal clash

**Liverpool will welcome Arsenal at Anfield tomorrow in what promises to be their toughest Premier League test under Andoni Iraola.**

The Reds are fourth in the league table and have lost just once under their new manager, which represents a positive start.

The Gunners, on the other hand, have also lost once but lead the way in the Premier League as they aim to make it back-to-back titles under Mikel Arteta.

Speaking ahead of the game, Iraola feels the Reds need to be ready to do a lot of dirty work to get a positive result tomorrow.

## Andoni Iraola on what Liverpool must do to beat Arsenal

“There is quality on both sides,” said the Spaniard via Sky Sports.

“We have to do the job, we have to do sometimes the dirty stuff, so after our offensive players can shine. There are things that Arsenal do very well that we have to match; otherwise they are going to be better.

“So everyone has to give everything from the beginning in all areas, in set plays, defensively, offensively, transitions, because they are a very well-coached team. They know each other very well, very coordinated.”

“If we are not at our very best, it is going to be difficult. They are all the time switched on. They don’t give you breaks.

“Arsenal will be there because they are very consistent in their performance. Every throw-in, they will do their job and they are going to be ready, so we have to be the same.

“We cannot switch off for 10 seconds because they are going to punish you. We have to keep this concentration level, especially against Arsenal, very high.”

Arsenal have enough individual quality to hurt teams in attack, while it goes without saying that they have been the best defensive side in Europe over the past two or three seasons.

Liverpool need to be at their absolute best to get a result tomorrow, so let’s hope Anfield rises to the occasion to give the players a fantastic atmosphere.
